Advanced Technical Fluency Program

For Non-Technical CEOs and Founders

Schedule Meeting

Being “Tech Fluent” means you can solve high-level technical problems and effectively communicate with engineers, without needing deep expertise.

I like to be upfront that this is a sales page. No gimmicks.

If you could greatly benefit from the training I provide, I’ll encourage you to schedule a 20-minute call with me to move forward.

If we decide it’s not for you, I’ll just give you my honest advice on how you could learn and grow on your own.

Moreover, just like you never buy a house without first looking inside, so I recommend you read this free essay before booking the meeting.

Why Technical Fluency?

As a non-technical leader, you’ve probably felt a “disconnect” while working with engineers, or reading about new technological developments.

You have many ideas you’d like to implement, and you don’t want to completely rely on others’ decisions about what’s feasible and what isn’t.

You might also feel concerned about the future — that investors/board will want to replace you with a “real tech CEO,” that your company won’t keep up and get disrupted/muscled out of the market, etc.

Becoming Tech Fluent will help you close this gap:

  • Confidently participate in high-level technical discussions — never feel like a “lost” bystander in such meetings.

  • Strategize technically and have informed opinions. Unleash valuable insights from your unique background that engineers are probably missing.

  • Sell effectively to technical decision-makers, whether customers or investors. Build real credibility and trust.

  • Lead and manage with more certainty. Easily explain to others (employees, investors, customers, etc) about important technology decisions.
  • Save yourself months of time, money and sobbing in the bathroom by not “wondering” how things are going and whether the tech team is on the same page as you.

  • Avoid costly mistakes when outsourcing tech development. Always get “quality” engineering work done at a fair price.

Hi I’m Aman, Founder and CEO of SANPRAM Transnational. As an engineer I have worked on self-driving trucks, computer vision for robot assistants, and AI-enabled brain-computer interfaces. Besides that, I’ve done B2B sales for two tech startups both worth >$1 billion.

I’ve received worldwide recognition for my teaching. My essays explaining cutting-edge AI technologies to non-engineers have been widely discussed in the media, and I’ve given guest lectures on AI to fine arts students in Japan. I have a Masters degree in Systems Engineering from Cornell University, USA.

I work with CEOs from diverse businesses and industries, which you can hear about on my podcasts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the learning experience like?
My style is a mix of hand-holding and tough love. Expect to do a lot of reading, brainstorming, and talking. Most of the work will be done by you (you can’t become “fluent” just by passively consuming lectures). I follow the principle of “i+1“: the rigor will be just enough to be exciting, but not overwhelming.

I’m in the <insert name> industry. Will you be able to understand my business?
Being able to deeply understand diverse businesses is a critical part of my job. Check out my podcasts for examples. If I really don’t understand what you do even after trying, I won’t take you on as a client.

What is the time commitment?
The core program will take between 2.5 – 3.5 months depending on your pace, but it depends on what kind of coaching engagement you’re looking for. (Ask me more in the intro call.) Ideally you’ll spend around 2-4 hours per week. The course is heavy on practical exercises, so don’t expect to binge anything!

Will I learn to code?
No. Coding skills are secondary to technical intuition. If you are really interested, I will give you the bare basics you’ll need.

What prior knowledge do I need?
It’s helpful to be business-savvy. That’s it.

How will I access the course?
It will be on Google Classroom. I will release the learning material (lectures, quizzes, assignments) on the class homepage periodically. We will also schedule a live video session per week. You won’t need to download any software for the course.

Can I get a discount?
It’s a fair price and it includes direct access to me, so I can’t give discounts. In any case, you can access my >4000 word essays and many video lectures for free.

Can I get training for my whole team?
I’m happy to consider it! Please use the same link above to schedule a meeting.
