SANPRAM Research is a fledgling tech company building the future of scientific publishing and discourse.
Looking for early team members who are interested in a hard life that includes:
- 5+ years of pushing yourself to your limits
- Tackling big, hairy, civilization-level challenges
- Aiming to be the best in the world at what you do
- Ruthless, large competitors with vast cash reserves and self-righteousness syndrome
- Tight offices and highly resource-constrained conditions during the early years (read: uncomfortable)
- Frequent setbacks and questioning your life choices
- Quirky, weird teammates who are too stupid to quit
Success would mean:
- A series of historic, landmark achievements
- Permanent impact on the future of the human race
- Creations that could far outlive you
- Potential attempts by governments and large respected institutions to seize or control what we’ve built
Our goal is to build the first true “universal scientific network” in history, which can serve as a global Grand Central for cutting-edge science — 100% open access, self-sustaining, and delightful to use.
We’ve been fortunate to receive early support from people like Jeff Dean (Google DeepMind) and endorsements from a couple of Nobel Prize–winning scientists.
At SANPRAM, we don’t have fixed titles. Instead, we’re looking for skills in the following areas:
1. Makers (tech/engineering, UI/UX, game development, etc)
2. Business (marketing, sales, and admin/legal)
3. Design (media and aesthetics)
You can start as an intern or part-time, but this is not a side project you experiment with — people who intend to go all-in for several years are strongly preferred. Initial pay range is $18-$30 per hour.
If you’re interested, start a direct conversation over email with aman@sanpram.com. (If you’re at a loss for what to write, just start anywhere. I’m happy to read a long email as long as it’s not written by AI.)
SANPRAM is currently based out of Tokyo, Japan.
